Relaxing in Hammock

Services and Pricing

I've learned a lot about editing since graduating college. The most important lesson I've learned from my Master's degree in Publishing is the different types of editing people can do on a book. Developmental editing is my passion--I love working with authors to make sure their characters or their message isn't lost, their words aren't compromised, and that I can help them bring out more of their best self through my careful eye.

Line editing, copyediting, and proofreading are more technical; I focus on grammar, sentence structure and clarity, and find any inconsistencies in your work. It's always helpful to have a second eye on your work before you submit it anywhere. And what better person to look it over than a friend!

Below, you'll find my pricing layout. If you have any questions or concerns, please leave me a message!

Love is Guaranteed

I can be blunt or soften the blow when I make comments on pieces, but despite the tone of my comments, my love for your work and your message is guaranteed. So, you can sit back and relax.

My work ethic for editing pieces vary depending on size--I want to emphasize this. The longer the piece, the longer it's going to take. The service you require also varies. Developmental editing and line editing are more line-by-line, going over the piece multiple times before making final edits which take longer. Copyediting takes a bit of time to go through the manuscript and make sure there are no lingering typos, etc. Proofreading typically takes the least amount of time, but again, varies based on what you are looking for.

Basically, total time spent on editing your work and the price will depend on the service you are looking for. I am always happy to discuss pricing with you in person or via email. Message me here for any questions!
